May - Oct
Maguk is another stunning waterfall destination in Kakadu National Park. It is easy to get to in a 4wd, with crystal clear water flowing most of the year (wet seasonal closures occur.) This destination suits all ages with options to relax or explore. This half day tour allows you to explore the bottom area of Maguk where you will find little rock holes with small rapids that leads to a beautiful natural lagoon.
Bring your goggles to explore the underwater world, bring a noodle to relax with while gazing up at the high sandstone escarpment and float out to the 15mt waterfall at the end of the plunge pool.
Your guide will prepare a refreshing fruit salad and snack for you to enjoy before you head home. Along the way, there are a series of massive termite mounds in the open woodland savannah where you have the opportunity to photograph, explore and learn about these giant icons of the NT.
What to bring:
Kakadu National Park Pass (compulsory*)
Water (min 1-litre bottle)
Swimming wear & towel
Water to refill your water bottles will be available.
*All visitors to Kakadu National Park are required to purchase a park pass and carry this on them at all times. Parks Australia is responsible for the sale of these passes.
Your tour price does not include a Kakadu Park Pass and you are required to purchase this for yourself or your tour yourself prior to the tour. The pass must reflect the dates you are travelling whilst in Kakadu and rangers may ask to see this at random locations.
Passes can be purchased online, click HERE. Park Pass is free for the remainder of 2020 but you still require one. Pass prices are adjusted according to the season you travel, so please check the website for details.
