A visit to the Top End isn’t complete until you visit Nitmiluk (Katherine) Gorge. Consisting of 13 separate gorges, Nitmiluk Gorge winds along 12 km’s of sheer rock extending more than 70 metres high. Join a Katherine Sky Tour departing Darwin for a well-planned day filled with must do experiences and spectacular sights.
Katheine Sky Tour includes return flights from Darwin to Katherine, 1.5 hours of stunning scenic flying, Nitmiluk (Katherine) Gorge Cruise, a visit to either Godinymayin Yijard Rivers Arts & Cultural Centre or Mini Aboriginal Art & Craft Centre, lunch and an optional Heli flight in the Dry Season.
The Northern Territory celebrates 2 seasons, Wet and Dry. The Katherine Sky Tour departs all year around and the itinerary will slightly differ between the seasons.
Dry Season – May to November

7.15 am – Check in at Darwin Terminal
8.00 am – Start your day with over 1.5 hours of scenic flying over Mary River, Kakadu and Katherine National Parks. Immerse yourself in the history, rugged beauty and culture of this majestic region with live commentary from the pilot. The highlights of this scenic flight include iconic river systems including the Adelaide, South Alligator, Mikinj Valley, Arnhem Land Plateau and Lightning Dreaming.
10.00 am – Transfer to Cruise
11.00 am – 2 hour Nit Nit Dreaming 2 Gorge Cruise
1. 00 pm – Lunch at Sugarbag Cafe (included in price)
2.00 pm – Optional 10 minute Heli Flight over the gorges. (April to September only) Additional $109 per person
2.15 pm – Transfer to arts and cultural centre
3.30 pm – Depart Katherine on a 1 hour flight back to Darwin
4.30 pm – Farewell guests at Darwin
