A visit to the Top End isn’t complete until you visit Nitmiluk (Katherine) Gorge. Consisting of 13 separate gorges, Nitmiluk Gorge winds along 12 km’s of sheer rock extending more than 70 metres high. Join a Katherine Sky Tour departing Darwin for a well-planned day filled with must do experiences and spectacular sights.
Katheine Sky Tour includes return flights from Darwin to Katherine, 1.5 hours of stunning scenic flying, Nitmiluk (Katherine) Gorge Cruise, a visit to either Godinymayin Yijard Rivers Arts & Cultural Centre or Mini Aboriginal Art & Craft Centre, lunch and an optional Heli flight in the Dry Season.
The Northern Territory celebrates 2 seasons, Wet and Dry. The Katherine Sky Tour departs all year around and the itinerary will slightly differ between the seasons.

DRY SEASON ITINERARY (April- September)
7.15 am – Check in at Darwin Terminal
8.00 am – Start your day with over 1.5 hours of scenic flying over Mary River, Kakadu and Katherine National Parks. Immerse yourself in the history, rugged beauty and culture of this majestic region with live commentary from the pilot. The highlights of this scenic flight include iconic river systems including the Adelaide, South Alligator, Mikinj Valley, Arnhem Land Plateau and Lightning Dreaming.
10.00 am – Transfer to Cruise
11.00 am – 2 hour Nit Nit Dreaming 2 Gorge Cruise
1. 00 pm – Lunch at Sugarbag Cafe (included in price)
Optional Heli Flight
10 min flight – Takes you over 3 gorges. (April to September only) Additional $111 per person
12 min flight – Nitmiluk National Park from above with a thrilling helicopter adventure flying half way along the 12km stretch of canyons of Katherine Gorge $129 per person
15 min flight – Be in awe of eight striking gorges of Nitmiluk National Park as you soar over the sheer canyon walls of the escarpment, enjoy panoramic views of the Top End’s wild
and unique scenery $170 per person
2.15 pm – Transfer to arts and cultural centre
3.30 pm – Depart Katherine on a 1 hour flight back to Darwin
4.30 pm – Farewell guests at Darwin
WET SEASON ITINERARY (October – March)
07:15am – Check in at Terminal Darwin
08:00am – 09:30am – Start the day tour with a 1.5 hour scenic flight over Kakadu and Katherine National Parks.Departing Darwin, passengers will be treated to spectacular aerial views of the Adelaide and Mary Rivers en-route to our homeland; Kakadu. Take in the sights of the Arnhem land escarpment and plateau before viewing the impressive and prominent waterfalls, Jim Jim and Twin. We finish the scenic flight with views over the Nitmiluk (Katherine) Gorge.
10:00am – 10:45am – Transfer to Cruise
11:00am – 13:30pm – NitNit Dreaming 2 Gorge Boat Tour (2 -2.5 hours) Bring your swimwear and a towel as there may be an optional swim * This option is weather and water levels dependant!
13:30pm – 14:15pm – Lunch at Sugarbag Café (included in the price)
14:15pm – 14:45pm – Transfers to arts and cultural centre
14:45pm – 15:15pm – Visit to either Godinymayin Yijard Rivers Arts & Culture Centre OR Mimi Aboriginal Art & Craft depending on the day of booking
15:30pm – Depart Katherine on a 1hour ferry flight back to Darwin
