Day 1. Welcome to Darwin

Start your Kakadu & Katherine Small Group Tour at 2pm at the Hilton Hotel in Darwin, the vibrant heart of the Northern Territory.  Touch down and immediately dive into the local culture at Aboriginal Bush Traders. Here, you can sample delicious native flavors and browse through stunning Indigenous art. To explore more of the city, take a short walking tour to trace its history through landmarks like Parliament House, Government House, and the beautifully restored historical Administration Building.

Start your day with a tranquil cruise on the Corroboree Billabong Wetland, just outside of Darwin. Glide through pristine wetlands, spotting crocodiles and vibrant birdlife. Next, you’ll venture into Kakadu National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site covering 20,000 square kilometers. This spectacular park is a treasure trove of cascading waterfalls, lush rainforests, and unique wildlife. Admire the work of local indigenous artists at the Murrawuddi Art Gallery, where you can admire ancient rock art and discover Indigenous stories of tradition and spirituality.

Day 3. Aboriginal Experience in Kakadu

Start another day of adventure in the heart of Kakadu National Park. For the ultimate experience, begin your morning with an optional scenic flight, soaring above ancient landscapes and countless waterways as the sun rises.  After some free time for lunch, get ready to be inspired on the Guluyambi Cultural Cruise. You’ll glide along the East Alligator River, encountering unique wildlife and gaining fascinating insights into traditional customs and practices from local Aboriginal guides.

Day 5. Hot Springs & Sunset Dinner Cruise

Start your day with a leisurely breakfast before heading to the peaceful Katherine Hot Springs for a mid-morning soak in the warm thermal waters. After, you’ll have some free time for lunch in the town of Katherine.  This afternoon, you’ll embark on an unforgettable Sunset Dinner Cruise along the majestic Nitmiluk (Katherine) Gorge. Marvel at the towering cliffs and ancient rock formations that tell a story of millennia of natural history.

After a day of blissful moments, you’ll return to the luxurious sanctuary of Cicada Lodge, where the comforts of home await in the rugged beauty of Nitmiluk National Park.

On the final day of your Kakadu & Katherine Small Group Tour enjoy one last breakfast at Cicada Lodge before setting out for your final adventure.  Travel to a different part of Nitmiluk National Park, where the enchanting Leliyn (Edith) Falls await. Here you can take a refreshing swim in the natural oasis, surrounded by cascading waterfalls (seasonal).  As the day comes to a close, you’ll travel up the Stuart Highway to Darwin, where your tour ends. Reflect on the incredible memories made amidst the stunning landscapes and cultural treasures of the Top End.
