Darwin Tropical Light & Kakadu is available Wednesdays and Saturdays – Both departures include the same attractions, itinerary in different order.
The below itinerary is for Wednesday Departures.
Day 1 Darwin (same for Wednesday and Saturday Departures)
Make your way down to the Darwin Waterfront Precinct for a lovely 2 course dinner at Wharf One. Then enjoy a self-guided walk through the Tropical lights, the eight illuminated sculptures are located in the Darwin City Centre and lights are activated at 7.00 pm. Hotel: Doubletree by Hilton on the Esplanade
Day 2 Kakadu (Satuday Departures will do Darwin City sights today)
Continue your 5 Day Darwin Tropical Light & Kakadu Experience travelling down the Arnhem Highway where we make our way to Kakadu National Park. Kakadu covers 20,000 square kilometres of landscape of escarpment county and historic Aboriginal Rock Art dating back thousands of years to floodplains abundant with wildlife. View the informative displays at the Warradjan Cultural Centre where you will learn about the Aboriginal people of this area. A local guide will take you on a Yellow Water Cruise on the famous Yellow Water Billabong where you can search for salwater crocodiles and view the colourful range of birdlife than inhabit these waterways. After lunch we make our way up the Kakadu Highway to Nourlangie Rock where your guide will lead you on a walk through the rock art galleries. Hotel: Mercure Crocodile Hotel
There is an opportunity for an optional 50 minute Kakadu Flight at your own expense

Day 3 Kakadu to Darwin (Saturday Departures do Kakadu on days 3 & 4)
Join your guide to explore a rock art site where you will view rock art believed to be 20,000 years old. Visit the Bowali Information Centre “Kakadu National Park Headquarters” before making our way to Corroboree Park Tavern for lunch. After lunch we join a Jumping Crocodile Cruise on the Adelaide River. Cruise the river as these awesome creatures launch themselves out of the water. Visit Window on the Wetlands Visitor Centre followed by a stop at Fogg Dam Nature Reserve before returning to Darwin. Hotel: Doubletree by Hilton
Please Note: In November we will be operating the Guluyambi Cruise and lunch will be at the Mercure Crocodile Hotel instead of the Jumping Crocodile Cruise and Corroboree Tavern.
Day 4 Free Day – Relax and enjoy a free day in Darwin – Hotel: Doubletree by Hilton
Choose to dine at one of the great restaurants Darwin has to offer, relax by the pool or take in some more of what this tropical city has to offer.
Day 5 Darwin (Saturday departures have a free day today)
For the last day of the 5 Day Darwin Tropical Light & Kakadu Experience you will join a city sights of Darwin. With expert commentary by a local guide. Visit the lush Botanic Gardens and the Chinese Temple. Tour the historic site of the East Point Military Precinct. Visit Stokes Hill Wharf area and the Darwin Aviation Museum. There is also time to explore the Darwin Museum and Art Gallery whose collections encompass Aboriginal Art, visual arts and the history and natural sciences of the Northern Territory.
