Your Arnhem Land Scenic Flight Tour begins with a spectacular flight from Darwin across the Top End towards Arnhem Land.
Enjoy aerial views over Kakadu National Park and the surrounding escarpments, wetlands and remote landscapes before arriving at Davidson’s Arnhem Land Safaris.
Arrive at approximately 9:00 AM and transfer by open Land Cruiser safari vehicle to the lodge.
There will be time for restroom facilities and a short introduction before setting out to explore this remarkable region.
Depart at approximately 9:15 AM for a guided bush and cultural experience, often including nearby rock art sites such as the Rainbow Serpent site.
Learn about ancient rock art, local Amurdak culture, bush tucker, bush medicine and the geology of the Arnhem Land escarpment.
Morning tea is included.
Return to the lodge at approximately 12:30 PM for a two-course lunch inspired by the region.
The lodge also has a fully licensed bar, with beverages available for purchase.
After lunch, travel by open Land Cruiser through changing Arnhem Land landscapes before joining a peaceful boat cruise on Cooper Creek.
Watch for abundant birdlife, freshwater and estuarine crocodiles, and discover rock art and cultural artefacts along this remote waterway.
Depart Arnhem Land at approximately 5:00 PM for the return scenic flight to Darwin.
Arrive back at the Darwin terminal by approximately 6:00 PM.
Booking Confirmation: All bookings remain pending until the minimum number of passengers required to operate the tour has been reached.
Seasonal Conditions: Bush and boat touring may vary depending on seasonal conditions. The order of the bush tour and Cooper Creek cruise may also alternate between morning and afternoon.
