Discover a different side of Kakadu with a choice of guided barramundi fishing or an Aboriginal cultural cruise, a round of golf in the heart of the national park, and drinks and dinner at the local golf club. Explore beautiful Maguk and venture into Arnhem Land for an Aboriginal-guided rock art experience at Injalak Hill.

4 Day Kakadu Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Darwin – Scenic Flight – Yellow Water – Jabiru

Depart Darwin at approximately 9.00am for a spectacular 90-minute scenic flight over Kakadu National Park. Enjoy aerial views of the Adelaide and Mary Rivers, vast wetlands, the South and East Alligator River systems and the magnificent Arnhem Land escarpment. Depending on seasonal conditions, the flight may also include views of Jim Jim Falls and Twin Falls.

On arrival in Kakadu, join the famous Yellow Water Billabong Cruise for 90 minutes, exploring the wetlands and observing saltwater crocodiles and abundant birdlife.

Enjoy lunch at Cooinda Lodge before visiting Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre, where you can learn about Kakadu’s Aboriginal culture and browse the displays and gallery.

You will be transferred from Jabiru Airport to your hotel accommodation in Jabiru, where you will stay for the next three nights.

Day 2: Guided Barramundi Fishing or Cultural Cruise – Jabiru Golf Club

Today you have a choice of experiences, allowing you to enjoy the activities that interest you most.

Option 1 – Guided Barramundi Fishing

Head out on Kakadu’s waterways with an experienced local fishing guide for a guided barramundi fishing experience. Fishing is limited to four guests, providing a more personal experience.

Option 2 – Guluyambi Cultural Cruise

Join an Aboriginal-guided Guluyambi Cultural Cruise on the East Alligator River. Learn about the area’s cultural significance, Aboriginal traditions and surrounding landscapes.

Visit Marrawuddi Arts & Culture in Jabiru as part of the cultural option.

After your chosen activity, return to Jabiru for an afternoon round of golf at Jabiru Golf Club, with golf buggy and club hire included.

Finish the day with drinks and dinner at Jabiru Golf Club.

Day 3: Maguk (Barramundi Gorge) – Jabiru

Travel by 4WD to Maguk, also known as Barramundi Gorge. A walk through the gorge leads to a beautiful natural plunge pool beneath the falls, surrounded by Kakadu’s rugged sandstone country.

Return to Jabiru for lunch, followed by free time to relax around the hotel pool or visit Marrawuddi Arts & Culture.

Optional Ubirr Sunset Tour

In the late afternoon, you may choose to join a guided Ubirr Sunset Tour.

Explore Aboriginal rock art galleries before climbing to the lookout for spectacular views across the floodplains and Arnhem Land escarpment as the sun begins to set.

Additional cost: $130 per adult.

Overnight: Hotel accommodation in Jabiru

Day 4: Arnhem Land – Injalak Hill – Darwin

Depart Jabiru and travel towards Cahills Crossing on the East Alligator River before entering Arnhem Land. Continue to Gunbalanya for an Aboriginal-guided cultural experience at Injalak Hill.

Explore the remarkable Aboriginal rock art galleries with a local Indigenous guide and learn about the cultural significance of the area. Enjoy views across the surrounding floodplains and Arnhem Land landscape.

Visit Injalak Arts & Craft Centre, where you may have the opportunity to view locally produced Aboriginal artwork.

Enjoy lunch during your Arnhem Land experience before returning to Darwin via the Arnhem Highway, where your 4 Day Kakadu – The Territory Way tour concludes at approximately 7.30pm.
