Ultimate 3 Day Kakadu Camping Tour from Darwin

This 3-day Kakadu 4wd adventure camping tour departs Darwin and is an all inclusive tour designed to take you deep into the heart of Kakadu National Park, combining ancient culture, spectacular wildlife, and refreshing waterhole swims.

Day 1: Wildlife, Rock Art & Campfire Nights

The tour begins at the wetlands for a wildlife cruise on Corroboree Billabong, perfect for spotting saltwater crocodiles and birds. After lunch near the East Alligator River, we enter Kakadu National Park. The afternoon is spent exploring Ubirr’s world-famous rock art. A climb to the lookout rewards you with stunning 360-degree views over the Nardab floodplains. We camp for two nights at our exclusive safari camp at Mardugal Billabong, where you can relax by the campfire. (Fitness: 3 km. Meals: Lunch & Dinner).

Day 2: The Mighty Waterfalls and Cultural Heritage

We take the 4WD to Jim Jim Falls (seasonal). A rewarding 1 km walk through the towering gorge leads to the plunge pool for swimming and relaxation. Post-lunch, we explore Burrungkuy (Nourlangie Rock), focusing on its important rock art and Dreamtime stories. We hike to a lookout for amazing views over the woodlands. Later, we visit the Warradjan Cultural Centre to understand the Traditional Owners’ culture before heading back to the safari camp for dinner. (Fitness: 5 km of walking. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner).

Day 3: Natural Pools and return to Darwin

After breakfast, we visit Maguk (Barramundi Gorge). This includes a 1 km hike through a paperbark forest to reach a pristine plunge pool for a final refreshing swim. Next, we head to Gunlom Falls. Hike to the top to swim in the natural infinity pools with panoramic views, and enjoy a last dip in the large bottom plunge pool. We then begin the drive back to Darwin via Pine Creek, arriving around 5:30 PM concluding your conclude your Kakadu Camping Tour. (Fitness: 3 km of walking. Meals: Breakfast & Lunch).

National park road closures and cultural commitments may require itinerary changes without notice. The tour price is fully inclusive of all food, drinking water, tents and camping gear, transportation, guiding services, the wildlife cruise, and all camping fees.
