The 3 Day Kakadu and Litchfield Tour ‘Best in the wet’ experience rallies around the Top End Wet Season. It is the time to feel the power of nature and witness the bucket list shows of lightening and thunder. Not for the faint hearted the mission is to get you amongst it. Witness waterfalls gone wild, swim in outback creeks, fly over moody escarpment country and immerse yourself in the oldest continuous culture on earth. This tour is an accommodated tour.

Today begins with pick up at your Darwin accommodation at 8 am and from there it is all about the landscape. Wangi Falls, Tolmer Falls, Tabletop Wetland, Florence Falls, secluded swim spots and massive termite mounds ! Spend the morning and early afternoon exploring Litchfield Park before heading for your outback hideaway on Mt Bundy Station. Enjoy the sunset and a BBQ before a well earned relaxing evening. Meals included: Morning Tea, Lunch & Dinner
Rise and shine for a light breakfast before setting sail for Kakadu. Along the way check out Adelaide River War Cemetery and the historic village of Pine Creek before arriving in Cooinda, Kakadu. Enjoy lunch at the restaurant before a visit to the indigenous culture centre. Late afternoon enjoy the sunset wildlife cruise* on Yellow Waters or sunset at Nawurlanja Lookout*.

During the wet season mother nature calls the shots and so today will depend on what she has planned.
Option A – East Alligator River Region is accessible
Breakfast at Cooinda before moving to Jabiru to join the Guluyambi Combo cruise on Megela Creek which floats through flooded paperbark forests and floodplains on a journey to Ubirr Rock for an insightful guided tour through the many and varied rock art galleries.
Option B – East Alligator River is not accessible and Guluyambi Combo cruise not available
Experience sunrise on the Morning Yellow Waters cruise as the animals wake for another day in paradise. An internationally significant wetland it is also an area of living cultural value for the local Bininj people.
Following the cruise it is time for a hardy breakfast at Cooinda Lodge before we venture to the Nourlangie Rock region where you can wander the culturally significant rock art galleries of the first nation people of the region.
Following the OPTION of choice we will adjourn to the township of Jabiru to enjoy a spot of lunch at the iconic at own expense and a scenic flight for those that wanted the birds eye view*.
After lunch and safely landed it is time to begin the journey back to Darwin.
Expect to be back around 6 pm.
