Spend the morning and early afternoon exploring Litchfield Park before setting sail for Kakadu. Arriving in Kakadu at Cooinda resort you can settle in for the afternoon or join us for a sunset vigil at Nawurlanja Rock. This provides an awesome view back towards the ancient Arnhem Escarpment country as the sun goes down or perhaps you might like to do the afternoon Yellow Waters Cruise* and see the closing out of the day across one of Australia’s most famous wetland areas.
Catering included – morning tea | lunch | afternoon tea | snacks and cold water. Dinner (not included) can be taken at Cooinda Lodge restaurant at your own expense.
Experience sunrise on the Morning Yellow Waters cruise as the animals wake for another day in paradise. An internationally significant wetland it is also an area of living cultural value for the local Bininj people. Following the cruise it is time for a hardy breakfast at Cooinda Lodge before visiting the Warradjan Aboriginal Culture Centre for further valuable insights into local indigenous people and customs. From here venture to the Nourlangie Rock region where we will be met by a local custodian of the stories for a private guided walk through the galleries.
Take the time here to ask those questions and ponder the answers.
As lunch time approaches we will adjourn to the township of Jabiru where you can choose from a variety of locations to sit and enjoy a meal. After lunch you can choose to jump on board a scenic flight and get a birds eye view* or visit the Bowali Centre nearby.
Once the team is back together it will be time to make trails for Darwin, arriving back in the City around 7 pm.
Catering included – breakfast | morning tea | afternoon tea | snacks and cold water. Lunch can be taken at Jabiru township (at own expense).
