The colours of the early morning on this Katherine Gorge Dawn Cruise awaken as you emerge into the first 2 Gorges.  See the mist rising above the smooth water’s surface, hear the wildlife stirring from the night and breathe the crisp clean air. This cruise will allow passengers to discover the unspoiled beauty of the morning – a truly memorable start to the day and a photographer’s dream.

PLEASE NOTE: There are steps and walks of approximately 400 m each way, please wear appropriate footwear. The walk between the 2 boats is on uneven surface (rocky terrain) and therefore not suitable for people with mobility issues.

• Drinking water and toilet facilities are available on board the vessel
• Additional departures may be available during our peak season
• This tour is subject to weather and river conditions and will operate with a minimum of 12 passengers

If 7am is too early you may choose to do the 2 hour Gorge Cruise at a later time or the longer Timeless Land Cruise with a swim option may be more appealing to you.  Maybe you would really like to spoil yourself and enjoy a 3 course meal on the Nabilil Dinner Cruise.  The Dinner Cruise operates May through to the end of October.

Water levels at the gorge are much higher and run faster in wet season and during those month and often in the early months such as March to April the boats will be replaced with the power boat as they require the faster boat to handle the conditions.

In 2006 Katherine was affected by flooding and the water levels were unbelievably high at Nitmiluk Gorge.   Your guide may point out the water mark left by the flood whilst you are on your cruise.
