Kakadu Scenic Flight Itinerary

8:30 AM – Check-in

Arrive at the Terminal in Darwin for check-in before your scenic flight to Kakadu National Park.

9:00 AM – Darwin to Kakadu Scenic Flight

Depart Darwin for approximately 90 minutes of scenic flying across the Top End. Travel over the Adelaide and Mary Rivers before continuing towards Kakadu, with views of the South and East Alligator River systems, extensive floodplains and the Arnhem Land Plateau.

Depending on seasonal and operational conditions, your scenic flight may also provide aerial views of some of Kakadu’s spectacular waterfalls, including Jim Jim Falls and Twin Falls. Commentary from your pilot provides an introduction to the landscapes and landmarks below.

11:30 AM – Yellow Water Billabong Cruise

Join a 90-minute cruise on Yellow Water Billabong, one of Kakadu’s most renowned wetland environments. Cruise through the billabong and surrounding floodplains while looking for crocodiles and the diverse birdlife and wildlife found in this part of Kakadu.

1:00 PM – Lunch at Cooinda Lodge

Enjoy lunch at Cooinda Lodge before continuing your afternoon in Kakadu National Park.

2:00 PM – Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre

Visit the Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre to learn more about Kakadu’s Aboriginal culture and the connection Bininj/Mungguy people have with Country.

Explore the cultural displays and browse the gallery and shop, where a selection of artwork and cultural items is available.

3:00 PM – Return Scenic Flight to Darwin
