Explore World Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park and Arnhem Land in comfort on a multi-day 4WD journey departing Darwin. Travel with an experienced local guide in an air-conditioned 4WD vehicle, enjoy hotel accommodation each night, cruise the wildlife-rich Yellow Water Billabong, and discover iconic rock art sites including Ubirr and Burrungkuy (Nourlangie).

Your 3 Day Kakadu journey begins with a stop at the Bark Hut before entering Kakadu National Park, recognised as a World Heritage area. Enjoy a picnic lunch beside Anbangbang Billabong, set against the impressive backdrop of Burrungkuy (Nourlangie Rock). Explore the renowned rock art galleries before taking a short walk to Gunwhardewharde Lookout for expansive views across the Arnhem Land escarpment.
Cool off with a refreshing swim before concluding the day aboard the iconic Yellow Water Sunset Cruise, well known for its crocodiles, abundant birdlife and striking evening reflections across the wetlands.

Following breakfast, travel by 4WD to Gunlom Falls, one of Kakadu’s most photographed swimming spots. Take the walk up to the natural infinity pools overlooking southern Kakadu, then enjoy a swim in the lower plunge pool.
Continue to Maguk (Barramundi Gorge), where a short forest track and light rock scramble lead to a pristine waterfall and deep, clear plunge pool. If time allows, visit the Warradjan Cultural Centre for further insight into the region’s Aboriginal culture and heritage.

Visit the tidal East Alligator River in search of crocodiles and birdlife before heading to Ubirr, home to some of Australia’s most significant Aboriginal rock art galleries. After exploring the site, climb to the lookout for panoramic views across the Nadab floodplains toward Arnhem Land.
After lunch you will be dropped back to Jabiru at Anbinik where you will spend the night. Take the short walk to the the Marrawuddi Arts & Culture Centre and on then return to your accommodation for a refreshing swim before heading out to dinner.

Travel into Arnhem Land — a culturally significant and restricted access region governed by local Aboriginal custodians. Upon arrival, you will be joined by a local Indigenous guide who will accompany you for the walk up Injalak Hill.
The climb to Injalak Hill reveals an extraordinary collection of Aboriginal rock art galleries and sweeping views across the surrounding stone country. Your Indigenous guide will share cultural knowledge, stories and insight into traditional life, providing a deeper understanding of the region’s living heritage.
Following your Arnhem Land experience, begin the return journey toward Darwin with scenic stops along the way. Your 4 Day Kakadu and Arnhem Land Tour concludes in Darwin at approximately 7:00pm.
