This 1 Day Kakadu Tour from Darwin departs at 6 am and returns approximately 7.30 pm.
Kakadu Sightseeing Highlights
Depart Darwin and travel along the Arnhem Highway, through major river systems and wetlands into Kakadu National Park. Kakadu is located 257 kilometres east of Darwin and covers 20,000 square kilometres of landscape from historic Aboriginal Rock Art dating back thousands of years & rocky escarpment country to floodplains abundant with flora and fauna. View the inrormative displays depicting the traditions of the Aboriginal people in this area at the Warradjan Cultural Centre.
Cruise on the world famous Yellow Water Billabong with your local guide and search for saltwater crocodiles and the colourful range of birdlife which inhabit this region. After lunch we head back up the Kakadu Highway stopping of at Nourlangie Rock Art Site where your Driver Guide will lead you through the main rock art gallery.
There is the opportunity for a 50-minute scenic flight (own expense).
