Experience sunset at Ubirr on a guided afternoon tour from Jabiru or Cooinda. Explore one of Kakadu National Park’s most significant Aboriginal rock art sites before making your way to the Ubirr lookout for panoramic views across the Nadab Floodplain and Arnhem Land.

Ubirr Sunset Tour Itinerary

Travel towards Ubirr with a brief stop at the Cahills Crossing viewing area before continuing to Ubirr.

Explore the rock shelters and Aboriginal rock art galleries at Ubirr. The galleries provide an insight into the long cultural history of the area, with rock art depicting animals, food sources and stories connected to Country.

Those wishing to continue to the lookout can make the approximately 250-metre climb to the top of Ubirr. The final section is steeper and involves uneven rock surfaces, but the lookout provides expansive views across the Nadab Floodplain and towards Arnhem Land.

Enjoy the changing colours across the landscape as the sun sets before returning to your departure point.
